We are here to support the community, as Bounty For Families we have been able to incubate and create four wonderful programs that uplift our community. We want to thank all of you who support, volunteer and donate to us by showing exactly where our combined efforts have achieved.
The Power of Produce
For Three years The Power of Produce has been sponsored mostly out of pocket by the Yelm Farmers Market and has helped hundreds of kids each year discover healthy local food. This year we hope to fund POP with grants, donors and an official business partner.
The Yelm Farmers Market
Since 2012 it's been our dream to promote healthy local choices for our community by hosting the Yelm Farmers Market. A Farmers Market in a community our size is hard work and has it's challenges but we have made it work every year. After adopting new Farmers Market regulations. We are excited about our new future with the City of Yelm hosting us at the Community Center right in the heart of Yelm.
The Gift of Gobble
By far one of our most popular programs, every year we provide 100 families in need everything they need to cook a thanksgiving feast for six. The generosity of the community and support from local businesses is tremendous each year. Thank you so much!
Yelm Community Gardens
We are excited that this project is moving forward with an educational garden at the Yelm City Park, with help from our donors and a grant from the Nisqually Tribe. We hope to use these resources in concert with our Power of Produce Kids Club to provide educational activities for kids with gardening as a platform.
